A few shots of our resident male Eastern Bluebird. This is the one I posted previously that has the growths on his leg, feet and nostrils. I contacted the Bluebird Assoc. and they feel it is benign and similar to a human mole. I think he was mad at me today as I had to ration his meal worms until I got the latest shipment tonight.

Thanks for looking,
Rose

Wow, beautiful shots Rose!

Do have any nest building underway there yet?
Our Missy just started her nest today! :)

Thanks Stan and Kenn...I appreciate your comments.

Kenn..They have their nestbox staked out but aren't building yet. It is still so early I hope they wait. Aren't your blues a little early?

Thanks again,
Rose

whatever his problems may be, he is still beautiful. And you've done a beautiful job with the capture. I see lots of these around here, but they are never at the right level to get a really good shot.

Rose, those are beautiful shots. The disease is Avian Pox. If he has survived more than a few months, then he has beaten it. I think it's communicable though. You can Google about the disease. It's a terrible killer for most birds.
