I'm Not Mad...I'm Blue

Beautiful shots, Rose!! They're one of my favourite's of all the 'little ones'!! They're just so darned cute, even when they're giving you that mean look!!

Thank you all for looking and for your kind comments. This is the most response I have ever gotten and hope they are not just lucky shots. Seems like it has taken me forever to learn how to use my gear (40D and 100mm-400mm L IS). I am just an old retired senior that is trying very hard to learn new tricks.

Mitch...Duane also had suggested Avian Pox in an earlier thread and I had suspected as well. The Bluebird has had whatever it is for several weeks that I know of so hopefully he is recovering. I take the precautions suggested and hope the other birds are not affected.

Thank you all again for all the encouragement..this is a special place.

Kenn..They have their nestbox staked out but aren't building yet. It is still so early I hope they wait. Aren't your blues a little early?

Oh yes, I guess they are early... and not yet too seriously building. Missy has taken maybe 10 long pieces of grass into the box and formed a thin circle. They stayed here over Winter and have pretty much maintained claim of their nestbox and this territory. We had our first egg on Easter Sunday last year tho... so not much longer and they will begin in earnest.

Those are definite candidates for print-frame-hang!
