because with flash the aperture controls the amount of light on the subject and the shutter speed controls the amount of ambient light let in i.e. the back ground with flash shutter speed has no significance on the subject. You can double check my answer but I am 99% sure that's how that works.

What about shutter sync speed? My camera can only sync with flashes up to 1/250th of a shutter speed.

My Flash(ex430II) supports highspeedsync...still works with 1/8000 ;)
What flash do you use eric?

i asked the same question eric the guy uses ttl or something like that idk how it works but i guess it does

Tony, how do you get the sun to stop setting so you can shoot three locations at once in good lighting? :)
Seemed when I tried it, you might get one location possibly two.

Should work,...try setting your flash to High-speedsync.
On My 1D i can select 1/16000 and shoot with flash :)

Yes and if i´m right tony uses ST-E2 or the radio hopper...both support ettl ;)
