That's not true. ND filter kills light from both ambient and flash.

You guys are getting better and better! Keep it coming! Just finished processing photos from a shoot I had with Jenn. Setup was 1-430EXII on FlexTT5 mounted in a PLM64, triggered by a MiniTT1. Here are few of my favorites.

from what i know and understand..

ND filter cuts light to the sensor so both ambient and flash is affected in the same shutter click..

SB25 through white umbrella boomed directly overhead @ 1/1 with CTO gel
SB28 through softbox in front angled upwards towards face @ 1/32 with CTO gel

@ BOBSTER.. your shots into the sun are great bro ! amazing that just 1/2 power but if it is bare , the light will be enough to light up subjects at about 5-8 feet away..
