Really nice, funkybuddha. Though it looks like he didn't quite make the hop...

Geoff
All I want is a 10-2000 f/0.5L with no distortion that weighs 100 grams, fits in my pocket, and costs $300. Is that too much to ask?

This was the best attempt out of about 8 tries. The spool is just over 4 feet high and this was his first "ride" of the season. We'll do another at the end of summer. He says he'll work at gettin more vertical.

Had to post that even though I have only made through the first 10 pages I am learning alot from this thread, especially the behind the scenes shot and the actual shot. :) THanks. Is there a barebones equipment list or the most bang for you buck equipment list/

Yup I like cigars. 7d, T1i and a bunch of other junk.

Strobist.com is a good resource, for technique and gear. What gear do you have? Its easier to recommend if we know where you are starting from.

Nothing really in the flash dept..... a clean slate. A 500d aka t1i(though i would like to upgrade that also), slick tripod, niftyfifty, 28 -55 canon efs zoom. I also have a good working knowledge of taking pics in ambient light too.

I forgoti do have some on camera flash diffusers. Very basic stuff aka cheap LOL
