I don't worry so much about exact settings as much as I do about what looks right and produces the results that I am going for. IIRC though, I was somewhere around 1/250th, f/2.5 @ ISO 200 for the first one, and the second was 1/400th, f/1.8 @ ISO 200 using Canon's "High Speed Sync" on the 580EX II. trailblazer wrote in post #7912295 These are great! when you say ebay diffuser, do you mean something like a stofen product? Also, where was the light positioned/distance and at what power? I love the editing on the last one. It looks surreal. Thanks. I love the colors and contrast that are in these pictures. One question though...what would you say is your primary lens for taking these shots? This is not directed at anyone in particular...thanks to everyone for sharing. Jared - Photography Hobbist - Equip = XSi w/kit lens, 24-105L, 50 1.8

This is great so much talent and wonderful people sharing so we can learn. Thanks for everyones time and input. My question is what is the cheapest way to get my 580ex11 off the XTI but still be able to use ETTL? I would need to stay under 100. tia Ann Klein
