Markins Q-Ball Q3 emille on ebay - I offered $249 US and bagged it, including P&P. No tax/duty for me from Korea. Fast delivery and as described brand new. Awesome little ballhead and perfect for travel as super light and super rigid. Smooth as silk! Click (external link)

Not a little but a lot!

Normally costs Euro 272 over here which is $345 US or £242 ... plus P&P.

Nice price 'rocky ... a bit unfair there is different pricing for US and Euro zones given their costs are exactly the same in Korea to point of shipping. I guess that's 'because they can' due to higher European prices.

Did the ballhead come with any warranty information?

I spoke to Markins America and they said that any items from ebay would not be serviced by them, even if the owner paid. They claimed that there are no official Markins ebay auctions.

No, but like I care. Markins is a top product. I doubt there would be any issues, but pay your money and take your choice ;-)a

What are you talking about? If I wanted to sell it would fetch more than I paid for it over here. I don't get the issue of throwing it away.

If you choose an RRS over a Markins then yes throw it away just like common sense.
RRS makes some good stuff but their ballheads arent one of their better acheivements. Markins smallest has twice the load capacity of RRS largest. Now their other stuff is another story. The balls heads look good but it ends their Im afraid, and yes I tried one and sent it back promptly and stuck with a Markins Q3 over a RRS BH55

I hear ya.
Ive had good Customer service from both.
I dont blame Markins for refusing to service the Ebay ones. Same as Canon with Grey market and this may be approaching black market. Markins is very exclusive to import rights so buying then shippping to another country and obviously dodging customs they put Markins in a bad position as they have to follow customs laws. If you note this seller sells Q3 emiles and has sold lots of them, there is another in the same town that has feedback for 265 of them. Obviously buying them (or stealing them) Directly from manufacturing. If any legitimacy is lended to this I am sure its for sales within Korea.

I dont blame Markins one bit. I know I wouldnt like it if I made a product then it was illegally imported or stolen then showed up for service at my service center. Actually refusing service is of the milder variety of what could be done when they can prove that a serial was not imported excatly in a legitimate fashion. I know I would hate to send off something for service and have the feds show up at my door.
