Does anyone have any experience with renting glass? Suggested websites to use, or stay away from? I know of www.rentglass.com, I'm willing to bet that there are more.

Thanks

-Keith

I have used both lensprotogo.com and borrowlenses.com. Both were great. If you are in Chino, I would suggest, borrowlenses.com. They are in the bay area. Shipping would probably be faster and a little less expensive than some of the other options.

I rented from www.lensrentals.com (external link) and had a good experience. I ordered it about 4 weeks in advance to make sure I had it for a trip, and it arrived early, giving me an extra day or so to get familiar with the lens. Great customer service, I'd recommend them and will use them again.

Used lensrentals.com for a lens for my honeymoon. I was able to reserve it in adavance. Lens showed up right on time. Packaged well and the lens was clean/dust/fingerprint free. Didn't care for the lens itself...but the service from lensrental was top notch!

I plan on renting a 500/4L over summer.

Thanks for all the info guys! I'm going to be renting a 70-200 f/4 to see how I like the lens before I make the purchase. Looking forward to testing it out.
