That's what mine shows. The problem I always had was that the internal flash was just physically stuck. If I press the button I could hear the camera go "Ssssshhhhhk... Ssssshhhhhk... Ssssshhhhhk... ", then an error would show on the LCD and I'd have to turn the camera off/on to be able to use it again. I just grabbed it so I could post the exact error message I've been getting, but now the flash pops up just fine. WTH?!?

Funny... I've had the thing 10 months and the damn flash has never worked until now when I actually wanted it to fail.

I've had that happen with EVERY Canon camera I've had that had a pop-up flash. Except the 40D... Maybe it's because I rarely shoot with anything but a shoe mount flash anymore. I got into that habit even before the manufacturers started putting pop-ups on cameras. It's probably the second least useful feature I can think of for a camera. The other is that ridiculous print button...

I just had this happen to me tonight with my XSi. I was pretty annoyed until I got back to POTN and learned this isn't so uncommon. Fortunately I had my 580 with me and got the fill flash I needed, but good grief, what a stupid problem for these cameras to have. Can't it sense them electronically through the hot shoe contacts? Jeesh. Got it working again after I learned what the deal was.
