Hi Again. Here are a few shots from my last walk around the city. I'd love a bit of C&C.

#1: Outside city hall. Vignetting from the 24-105 on the 5D II. I think it worked in this picture though...

#2: City Hall with my new fisheye. I just wish the two cars weren't there!

#3: Soft focus was intentional here. I know this doesn't have a subject, but I just liked the combination of lights and textures...

#2 would've been very cool w/o the cars, but I still like it.

Thanks a lot! I agree... I thought about sneaking up between the cars for the shot, but thought I might end up with a very cheap parts-only 5D II for sale if I did... I'm going to have to go back there and see if the cars are always parked there. It sure looked like a no-parking zone!

#2 is a clear winner - even with the cars in the shot. Very good job! I used to live in Philly but moved recently to the desert:-) I must admit though, that I do like Scottsdale better than Philly - esp. today where you guys got snowed in and we had 90 degree weather - sorry, couldn't resist - I will stand in the corner for 5 minutes now and be ashamed of myself:-)

No parking zone ..LOL Don't matter in Phila., does it...:D

Have you seen that show about parking in Phila.? Parking Wars or something, hilarious to see people going off trying to get their cars out of impound. Cable show I caught a few times. Seems they can make a show about Anything anymore....

This morning I walked to my car and scraped off about three inches of snow. The wind penetrated my wool overcoat like an x-ray, and it was so immediately bone-chilling cold that I wondered if I hadn't instead accidentally wandered outside naked. I would happily trade places with you for a few weeks! Still, having grown up in Seattle and then moved to Philly, I think I'd quickly miss at least knowing there was an ocean nearby. I love the Phoenix area too, but even though Tempe Town Lake can be a blast to take a paddle boat out on, sometimes it just doesn't cut it :). I'll definitely be out that direction sometime next year though!

Yes! Parking Wars! That show is so entertaining! Every time I get a parking ticket, I wonder if my car will be on the show! Seems like they do enforce parking laws here... though those may be the only rules of the road enforced in the city. I once got a ticket for parking in a press zone at 1:00 AM...
