I have a picture of a car i want to cut and move to another background. I can cut the car and move it, that is the easy part. The problem i am having is that i have the rest of the picture background that is showing in the windows. How can i remove the inside windows? and still have a glass look. I am guessing cut and make some sort of gradient. but how do i make a glass look?

You mean the scene you see through the glass does not match the new background I assume.

It sounds like a lot of hard work to me. I certainly have no quick and easy answer for you. If I was presented with the problem I might start (on a copy layer) by simply cloning from other bits of the windscreen, and go for a look that seems right rather than try for the real background.

That was funny. I wrote the original post from work and did not have the picutre. It is of a guy standing in front of a car. I want to take the car and guy, cut them out and put them on another backdrop. I did this once before, but I could not get the backround cut out of the windows. I cut the car. but when i pasted it on the other picture. you could see the original background through the windows of the car. I will have to dig up the picture.

This is something I do quite regularly.

The best advice that I can give is to select the part of the window that you to delete and to erase the car layer with a low opacity - the new background will show through but you have to be careful not to go too far.

I usually pain in a darker colour over the deleted area (again in a low pacity) to simulate glass.

It seems simple but to do a good job requires a lot of trial and error.

Post up links to both images (at a decent size and resolution) and I'll see what I can do.

If the "background" showing through the car windows is plain white background, it can be done. Otherwise it'll be an airbrush job or impossible.
