Can't believe they're selling the 24-70 for $900 right now. They must really believe they've got a winner on their hands, as that's treading into 24-70L territory. Especially when you can get the 24-60 f/2.8, which isn't a bad lens at all, for $200.

Interesting that they would make a new constant f/3.5 10-20. That's sort of strange. Must be facing serious competition from the Tokina 11-16.

I just read that too, I'd like to see how that 10-20 performs overall (also hopefully it's not huge pricewise lol)

Meh, underwhelmed. It's nice to see OS creeping in to some more lenses though. Hope Canon has something a bit more compelling to unveil - I'm hoping for a redesign for the 35mm F/2 to 50mm F/1.4, or even a new 24/28mm good non-L prime. Doubt I'll see them though!

I've always been fond of the Sigma 10-20 as an ultra-wide for cropped bodies. All it needed was constant aperture. But an 82mm filter thread? Come on...

The new 18-50 looks great. Sure it's not constant aperture, but OS, HSM, and internal focusing and zooming? NICE.

The 55-200 OS HSM looks like a cool alternative to the EF-S 55-250 because of the HSM. Nice.

Great to see HSM motors across the board. Now will they focus properly?...

How godly would the 18-50 have been if it had been constant f/2.8? :(

THe 10-20 is quite exciting though, we need some more crop fixed aperture UWA competition. At the moment there's only 2 Tokinas...though both are quite nice

So is the new 18-50 suppose to compete with the 17-55 or the 18-55? It seems to be right in the middle of the two... Hopefully the price is closer to the 18.

Looks like Sigma really is targeting the lower end consumer Canon lenses.

10-20 is really exciting... If I didn't already have the Tokina 11-16, this lens would have been the top of the UWA lens list.

Why can't the 18-50mm be constant f/2.8 with OS? That lens would absolutely KILL.

I will reserve my reservations regarding the 10-20mm until they come out with a price. If it's in the 11-16mm or 10-22mm price range then I will be severely disappointed.

I dunno, prices haven't been released, but only the 10-20 and 24-70 are EX lenses, so expect the rest to be consumer grade.

The new 10-20 looks nice, not sure it's really necessary over the exisitng 10-20 unless they made some optical improvements. The fact that the 10-20 F4 uses my CP filters makes me lean towards it.

Somehow discount rates on Sigma lenses are much higher than others.

In a few months you will find the 24-70 going for 40~50% off list, whereas the discount rates on Canon lenses is much smaller.

In HK ... the 18-200OC first was selling for approx usd800 (list, not sure if someone actually bought this lens for that price), whereas it is now selling for usd450 or so.
