I realize you may be doing so to make the images less appealing to thieves, but the compression on most of them really takes away from the photos, and makes them seem much cheaper and less professional. Would it by possible to jack up the quality a little bit?

I have two other things to nitpick at. For the link to your flickr site, an image with either a transparent or a black background would be preferable. Again, it makes it look cheap and thrown together. Lastly, in my personal opinion, I think your header text would look better as one line instead of two with two colors.

Yes, sorting out the basic spelling error is pretty fundamental.

Also, is there a need for the "simpleviewer" link at the bottom of the photo (since this takes you to a software provider's website?

Some nice shots there, but personally, in the Wedding section, I'd remove the shot that's on the first column, third row down (where the groom(?) is holding a rose in his lap). The posing and placement/angle of the rose is just wrong on so many levels....

Sorry to say, but it is somewhat dull. I am not sure what look you were going for but the current one isn't that eye catchy. There are a few mis-spellings, which can really take away from the professional look. Nothing major but definately needs to be fixed.
As far as an identity, one doesn't exsist period. You need a logo, whether it be text or iconic, to allow people to identify you. Just using the website.com doesn't cut it. sorry
I hope this wasn't too harsh, but just my take on it. If you need any help with anything in regards to the site, or possibly flash work let me know. I could help out in my spare time if you would like.
