There is a Pocket Wizard Utility available for download that will allow you to download firmware updates for the USB version of the MultiMax and the newer TT1 and TT5 units. The software also lets you configure the TT1 and TT5 units.

There doesn't seem to be any firmware updates availabe yet for the MM units at this time, though.

There doesn't seem to be any availability yet. I'd be interested in a better understanding of the two units, the difference between them: transmitter and transceiver ... that is, can you just buy all transceiver units and skip the transmitter? Also, how they compare to Radio Poppers would be interesting. I think the Radio Poppers are more expensive AND require ST-E2.

There are several pages of discussions in the following thread about the new PW Mini and Flex units which will answer your questions. Get a cup of coffee and get comfortable first, though. ;)

Anyone know if the new PW mounted on the camera hot show will throw off the AF infrared assist because the 550EX will be up about 3/4 of an inch higher than normal?

No, it won't. I can have my flash mounted on my flash bracket which takes the flash up higher than 3/4 of an inch above the hotshoe mounted position and the AF assist light will still work fine. :)

Go to where PacAce suggests a good but long read. Note: the new PW's could need a ST-E2 if you want to do ratio lighting in ETTL. Read the thread it will answer your questions.

Thanks all! BTW, I have an ST-E2 and four PW II+'s.
