When buying a second hand lens with IS, how to check for IS operation, or if it's working properly?
Thanks.

Then turn on the is and try again. 1D Mark III, XTi, 16-35 f2.8L ,24-105 F4.0Lis, 28-135 3.5 is, 50 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8IIL is,100-400, Kenko Pro300, 430EXII

You should hear a whirling noise. If the IS is off, there will be no whirling noise. It might be difficult to listen at first so make sure you're in a quiet environment. Shutterstock

Not is it is working and holding the frame steady like it is suppose to do. 1D Mark III, XTi, 16-35 f2.8L ,24-105 F4.0Lis, 28-135 3.5 is, 50 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8IIL is,100-400, Kenko Pro300, 430EXII
