Good question Snowy, I always assumed their full name was ABE. After a quick search it is just bald eagle. Thanks for letting me clear that up.

And it is most likely Canadian. In British-Columbia there are a lot of them. I shot this guy at a local ecomuseum. They have 2 and a king eagle. They let you get pretty close to them.
