Been watching these cameras in various forums -- it looks like the prices are crashing. Whats up?

Maybe demand is simply lagging behind supply?

Watched one with unknown clicks but a 55xxxx serial number, all accesssories and box go for $2550 from a Ebay seller with over 1000 transactions.

That seems like a $400 drop in about two weeks for a "dot" body.

Wild guess, but could it be speculation over the Mark IV ?

Well, tomorrow will tell the tale I suppose...

IIRC, Canon has their press conference at PMA. However, the precedent has been for Canon to announce new products prior to the show actually commencing.

I think we would have heard some rumbling of it by now since all the other manufacturers pulled the new ones out of the goody bag already.

I read somewhere that it was unlikely that the 1D4 would be this year but purely conjecture at this point.

In fact, I am in the market.

Pardon the sky is falling tenor of the op -- not intended, I assure you.

In any case, it seems that last month, a quality low click body was drawing $2900 easy. Now, it seems less.

Ebay abounds with examples that I have unscientifically examined.

Just wondered if I missed something linking the ebola virus to the sub mirror fix....

Doesn't this MKIII have focusing issues? Do those persist, or have they been fixed?

Ty, loves upgrading his gear. However, I'm not sure why he is fixated on the 1D3. He just bought the 5D2, and was in love with it. I guess the honeymoon is over, and he needs a new love :cool:

It's not just the MkIII's

It seems to be the the entire 1 series.

Not sure if it is the economy--or a move to the dark side.
