I run firefox and double check with IE when building my pages. But I know MAC users have issues with my website which sucks as I dont know how to fix it. I dont think your response was horrid. I just prefer to hear "your site sucks because..." rather than a plain "your site sucks" lol

You should also check it in Opera in all the modes, as it has Mobile, Presentation and Screen support. One of the few browsers that do.

Some call me the Heilan' Laddie, but others call me Rob.

I have opera as well and my site always runs fine on my computer no matter which browser I use. For some reason my text over runs its self on some other computers when people look at it and I dont know why or how to fix it

Trying to redo it now but its really the same to me :/ I guess its just what I like. Front page with different fonts and without a slide show so far

Too many fonts there and definitely don't use Comic Sans. It's not cross platform compatible for a start. A simple roman or sans serif is a much more professional looking alternative. I'd look to using the same font for the menu and main parts of the page and only using a different one for the heading. Use a different colour for the links so they stand out more. As stated before I'd try to match the fonts and colourscheme between your blog and site.

Any time I design something - flyer, page, announcement, etc. - I try to use NO more than two different fonts.

One MIGHT be serif and the other a sans serif. Within that I may use a modest amount of bold or italic. Too many fonts, and just like a photograph with bad composition you don't know what is important or what the main focus point is. Simple, clean graphic design always trumps complex confusing images. Clean and minimalist is often what sticks in one's mind as the iconic image that is remembered.

Using more than one word color is like fingernails against a chalk board to me lol but Let me find colors Im happy with on my blog and Ill try it. The colors currently on there are generics that the blog auto puts in for me

Ill pick two fonts. Going to go work on it all now :)

Yes - more simplified, easier to read, easier on the eyes and improved spacing.

Now you just need to cut down on the verbosity - I see what you are trying to say but I think there are too many words. You may want to consider something like this: "Family Photography Including maternity, newborns & youth, couples and seniors. Serving upstate South Carolina. Contact Crystal Strickland for a consultation." and then list the other contact info.

What I just did was off the top of my head - used to do a lot of PTA and some corporate copywriting - but you can polish it a bit. You just had some redundant text there :D - Stu

Also having that amount of redundant words on a page may mean a search engine down rank you thinking it's a spam drop.

I wouldn't worry about word redundancy, in this case. There is only like 4 instances of the word photography. That is not enough for Google to flag, and honestly you do want it the way you have it, because certain keywords should have a certain density - it actually helps with ranking.

Compromise perhaps - in an earlier life I was an art director. Very often less is more from the standpoint of positive visual impact. But from an SEO standpoint, I'll have to defer to Rob and Todd's greater experience.... that is my weak area. I'm simply going by my initial, gut, visual reaction. I've seen a lot of good art and some bad art and this is just my emotional, non quantitative reaction. ;)

I don't think it hurts in the case of penalties and SEO purposes. Me, personally I don't think the whole design is very well done, though. Sorry.
