We just got our beloved mutt's DNA test back. They tested for only 38 breeds, so I've upgraded to the XL test with over 100 breeds for more detailed results. So far....he's part....bulldog, samoyed and beagle. Stay tuned.

Well, I'd say black lab is a good place to start. I've heard those DNA tests produce some really weird and irrational results.

I have a name and some gear.

Are you saying my pupper is fat???? He had just had a bath, so he was all fluffy and curly, he is a little heavy though. :)

On my screen this pic was tack sharp, until I resized, sorry about the quality.

From those results I would query that DNA test at the moment! Definitely looks part collie/lab in there.

I can see the beagle mix in the face, I had a beagle australian shepherd mix and the face was really similar

Does he have a confused hound kindof bark, my dog almost howled but it was more bark. He was also a chunker

Feel free to use any photo's that I post for any purpose that I don't find offensive. I'd be honored to find my pics used on that world wide web thingy....

Ha, I just sent you a PM, because I saw this old thread of yours:
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=224544

I didn't want to post in a 2+ year old thread, so I PMd you instead. I didn't see this post.

I think he's got a Catahoula face. Is that one of the breeds they are testing for?

Unfortunately that isn't on the list, but after seeing the pictures that you PM'd me, it certainly does look like him. I'm still waiting on the full test, so we shall see.

Wow, I just don't see that at all. Just by looking at the photo, I'd guess something collie cross too.

We love him no matter what the results show---but it is more of a matter of being curious--he has various traits that we are trying to understand, he HATES water, and is and always has been extremely shy.
