Running Leopard and Lightroom 2 – are you using 64-bit?

When updating Lightroom to 2.3 today, I read in the "Read Me" pdf that it's possible to run Lightroom 2 as a 64-bit application in Leopard, though it by default run in 32-bit mode. Would it be a good idea to run it as a 64-bit application? Would I gain some speed?

How much RAM do you have?

I'm running it on a Macbook Pro C2D 2.2 GHz with 2GB RAM... I've ordered more RAM, and should be running with 4GB RAM as of tomorrow

2gb, 64-bit won't help. 4gb, it might - try it and see - it's only a switch to flick!

Looks like it is spelled right to me.

ok dumb question, I know I was running it in 64-bit with LR 2.0 but now that I've installed the 2.3 RC, how can I tell if it is still in 64-bit? (Leopard here, too)

Right-click (well, or CTRL-click) the LR2 icon in the applications folder, Get Info... There's an "open in 32 Bit Mode" option that is either checked or not.
