I seldom post outside the G-Series challenges, but this time I dare to share with you these shots of a quick visit to Cuenca, a beautiful city of Ecuador, which deserved the title of ‘World Heritage’ by the UNESCO:

The ‘Broken Bridge’, once crossing the Tomebamba river, was destroyed on the big flood of 1950.

Interesting series, Rafael.

I especially liked the shot of the 'broken bridge.'

Lovely place and pictures, Rafael. The bridge and domes are truly beautiful. I wish I could visit that place one day ...

Sharp. I love the brickwork. The 2nd one, the contrast of the blue and brick are really interesting. Did you get any sunny days?

I’m afraid we didn’t. It is the rain season there right now. With four rivers crossing the city, as soon as the sun shines, there is enough water to build up clouds. On the ‘dry’ season, the wind blows the clouds to the mountains and the sun shines longer above the city.

Thanks to all for viewing and commenting. Yes, it is a beautiful city and the country surrounding it is better yet. My mother was born there; it is a very special place for me.
