I've been meaning to post this for a while....maybe it'll help someone...
If your rubber eyepiece slips up and down and up...and off maybe...
this is how I've kept mine in place

slide the rubber eyepiece up and off...
wrap a bit of a plastic bag (about 1.5" x .5" or 4cm x 2cm, twisted a bit) around the 3 sides of the slot on the camera and
slide the rubber eyepiece back over the slot...

The plastic will take up the excess space, eliminate the excess play and slippage...and keep the eyepiece in place.

Just thought I'd pass it on...

I have a small piece of masking tape, looped around the plastic at the bottom, small enough to not get in the way, but enough to reach the plastic of the information panel below.

That is a wonderful suggestion. I always used tape, but I think I will use a small rubber band when I get home. Thanks for the tip!

I think a rubber band would be too thick, much thicker than the plastic bag...and unflexible enuf to fit in the slot, but if it works, great...

I use Teflon tape - works great and comes in a size that easy to work with.

I just glued it to my eye. I have the added benefit of closing one eye and composing shots even when I do not have my camera.:D
