Heh! That's called getting the shot, then changing your drawers!

They jerked the rig to make sure he did not pass out from fright :)

The drawers would defiantly be a wright off after a close encounter like that.

I'm not sure its a good idea to have an outrigger seat like that. I'm certainly no expert on wildlife photography, but I did go on my first safari in December - and I remember the game guides being adamant about “not breaking the line of the vehicle” (i.e. not standing up or sticking your arms out, and so forth). That video looks like a chance for a mauling (or a death), or even more sadly – the death of one of the lions.

Again, I’m no expert – but I’d love to hear what others with more experience would think.

the thought, 'beam me up, Scotty,' probably crossed his mind!

And the guy operating the portable platform was probably saying, "this damn thing is stuck AGAIN!!!"

Talk about the need for some serious IS! The shooter seemed pretty composed though, considering. Pucker factor of 10

I hope he was strapped on tight - I can just imagine the truck pulling away and pitching him off!

Same here -- my safari guide would never have permitted that. The risk to both cameraman and lion is just way too great. Foolish beyond words.

I don't think I would have liked that. I'm still not sure but that just wouldn't feel comfy. Kinda on the fence with this one. But Thanks for shareing, it was cool to see.
