Fair Trade?

I'm considering trading a Canon EF 100mm MACRO about a month old (with all paperwork) no hood for a EF 85mm 1.8w/ a hood with all paperwok.

Would you consider this a good trade?

brand new, there's about $150 difference in value between the 2 lenses as they come. The hood doesn't cover that much of the difference.
Great deal for the guy getting the 100, not quite as good for the other guy

As the previous poster stated, there is a difference in the price of the two, but if you got a good deal when you bought the macro (or got in on the CC deals for it) it isn't necessarily a bad trade for you. On the other hand, you could probably sell the macro straight up and buy a new 85 1.8 without having to pull extra $$ out of your pocket.

I'd trade ya my 85 f1.8 with hood.. rarely use for that Macro...

It's a great deal regardless.

The 100 Macro is flooded in the buy/sell of every camera site. Buying from Circuit City, I was lucky to recoup my initial price + pp/shipping. I thought I was going to lose money on the deal.

On the other hand, the 85 f/1.8 is not as common to the b/s, so it is much more salable in the end.
