Mar 05, 2009 09:37 | #3 Thanks, Sean. I got a smokin deal on the Siggie, which is coming today, but have only used Canon OEM lenses to this point and wasn't sure if they'd mate up. Steve Foss

As long as you have a MKI of the TC it should work, but it looks like it can't Canon 50D - 17-55mm F2.8 IS - 300mm F4L IS - 70-200mm F4L IS - 50mm F1.8 - 580EX II & 430EX - Full Gear Listing

Mar 05, 2009 09:49 | #5 Bummer, and I have the Mk2. Guess that means I need to buy a Siggie TC, so that makes the lens deal a bit less smokin. Guess I should have just read the FAQ stickied up top. Steve Foss

Mar 05, 2009 10:12 | #7 Well, I could buy the Siggie TC for $200 new, but that would put the combo at the same price as a Canon 200 f2.8L, and there are times I need the 280mm. Plus, the IQ on the 200/1.4 is better than what can be had from the Siggie 70-200/Siggie TC combo. Steve Foss
