Well, since it is my local track and I'm too lazy to drive 2 hours to any other track, here's some more shots from this week. The cars were having a race testing day. They're movin pretty quick compared to a normal track day. Might bump up my shutter speed next time. And I tried my hand at slowish shutter speeds. 6 was a 1/20th of a sec shot. CC please. I think I'm improving over my past shots.

Hi Andy, some nice stuff there. That Stealth looks a real brute !! (shot 4) Were these taken today ? I did not have a chance to go up today. Shame I could'nt get there by the look of it. I guess the bikes were taken last weekend. Yes you are improving IMHO.

Thanks Richard! yeah, the Stealth was movin pretty good until it started towing a pipe. David, a guy who works at the track, tried to black flag the guy, but no one was paying attention. There was also a big green diesel powered race car, but i failed to get a good shot of it. I think I shot the bikes on sunday and the cars on tuesday.

A few from Saturday (Cars) and Sunday (Bikes), weather was interesting on Sunday and led to a few nasty high crashes :(

Nice panning Andy. Some nice shots mate.

The reason the bomb hole is closed off is to enable work to start on moving the run off area back into the next county. Its such a shame as far as we are concerned as it makes life so much more difficult to get nice frame fillers. Our life is made more difficult almost year by year. Snett will soon be as bad as Silverstone for photographers. The two attached shots were taken from the bomb hole last season. This type of shot will require so much focal length. I think these were with 420mm.

Thanks for the compliments Howaboutnow.

Andrew, killer shots man. I tried getting some good water off the tire shots at the car day i was at, but to no avail. I was sick of getting rained on.

Richard, you're killing me with those shots. I gotta get out to a real race. Onsey twosy cars are cool, but I do enjoy some other things in the shot. I do enjoy having some run of when I'm out there on my bike, but I can't afford any other lenses for reach. :( Dilemma dilemma.

Andy if you are not flitting off to Scotland or somewhere similar at the weekend its the first car meeting of the season. Will be well worth a visit if you are able. Obviously its a pay to get in job but you will be able to get some proper race shots for a change. Maybe see you ?
