Is there a head that just tilts up and down? It seems like I wouldn't need a ball head for a monopod as you just turn it right or left or am I missing something?
Thanks

I use quick release plates on all my gear. If you never change what you're using once you set out, you don't need to use a quick release plate. If you change gear a lot, you want one. The product that's linked to above has a Manfrotto RC2 quick release plate; there are versions which don't. Jon

I was thinking about buying this head for a monopod but I would love to have the same QR plate as my tripod. Chris Knapp
