First off I'm really new to both photography, and birds. I was just driving through the reservation near my home town, and upon driving through a road that goes through the woods, I saw a few feeders. I stopped, and before you know it......about 20-30 birds. I would say there were about 6 or 7 different birds.

Taken with XTi and 70-200 f4L with Sigma 2x tc

C&C these, tell me what to do next time (other than get a longer lens:D). Maybe tighter crop, some PP, better settings.

Nice shots.

Thank you both. I was there for about 2 hours, and I loved it. Relaxing, and quiet (other than the birds of course.) Gonna head back there as I saw some Blue Jays, and another bird of some sort with a red ring around it's head. Thanks again.

Get a copy of ' A Field Guide to the Birds' by Roger Tory Peterson

Nice shots, and next time, take some black oil sunflower seeds to feed them with and maybe some shelled unsalted peanuts. You have to pay your models. :)
