Wow, you guys are great. No flames and all useful stuff. I am just a bit stand offish on the price tag of the 17-55 2.8. I know I want the 70-200L 2.8 IS, thats in the bag. However that just leaves me around 1K for any more lenses and the second lens MUST be able to give me decent wide angle on a 1.6 crop with GOOD IQ.
Any other ideas? I can get the 17-55 I just wonder if those two lenses are the very best use of $2600.00.
This is a lot of money for me and I really don't want to get a lens then try to resale it and start over.
