Lately I've been toying with the idea of approaching a local dance studio to see if any of their students/instructors would be interested in doing a ballet/contemporary dancer shoot. This would be a posed shoot, not a 'during a performance' shoot and I'd be after ballet and contemporary dancers.
I've seen Joe Mcnally's dancer shots and now I'm hoping you would show me some of yours or if you could refer me to any photographers sites you know that shoot dance, I'd really appreciate it.
I have shots in my head that I know I'd like to get but I guess I'd just like to see what other people are doing so when I go to present to the local dance studio I can articulate the types of shots I think we'd be able to get.
Plus I think it'd be nice to have a compilation thread for this type of photography since the searching never turned up one.
