Unfortunately I do not have all the time i want to stay on POTN. However I sure would like to see whats going on in a brief sense utilizing RSS. I know it can be turned on, can you? or can you explain why its not?

I could have used it recently to get some stuff from the sales forum, but missed out due to time.. if it was on my rss then i would have had a better chance. It would allow me to see current news and rumors, it would allow people all sorts of benefits. Please Please Please enable RSS

Here is an idea. I have not tried it myself so I don't know if it will be a solution for you.

Goto the For sale forum. In the top click on Forum Tools, select subscribe and choose the email option that suits your needs. Then wait and see if you get any mails.

tommy, good idea.. but i don't want any more mail.

T.D. , Fair enough... has it been discussed that members that donate to the site could get access to rss feeds. It would probably get me to pony up a bit more.

I totally understand you not wanting mails. That however at the moment is the only option. RSS feeds is not going to be enabled at the moment, it may change in future but time will tell. See this comment from Pekka which should explain (somewhat) why that is.

MDJAK, I will think of a better way to present and search positive feedback.

Meanwhile, I think it is up to sellers to present that info (links) with ads.

I'm sorry to say this but Vbulletin is going downwards, has been some time now. The company was sold a while ago and programmers are not part of design team any more. It also does not scale well to forums like this, it can not be modified and customized without making a mess of it when next update comes, the database is very inefficient and too denormalized, not designed for very busy sites. This site would be dog slow without Sphinx and other changes made which they do not support. Vb simply does not do (or will do) any more what POTN needs. There is a change coming to the POTN "engine" and it will be better in oh so many million ways. Don't ask yet what or when, please.

You know, you can create RSS feeds that we can't subscribe to, then use a service like feedburner to eat all of the traffic.
