Good action captures with all of them. They appear they could all stand just a bit of a contrast boost.

Damn, they look great to me. New monitor is giving me fits! I did my typical edit on these. It was an overcast day. Do I need to drop exposure some , edit WB ?? Contrast and saturation are at my standard levels so I dont think that is the issue but Ive been wrong before!

Anyone willing to edit so I can adjust?

Can you post one with no editing other than cropping.

I love the tongue and the band-aid in the 1st one. Its too friggin' cute. I'm sure you had some fun, shots of the little guys (when they're not chasing the ball in gaggles) always put a smile on my face.

The excited spectators in 4 are just awesome framing.

Here's my go at it. Didn't mess with contrast. Skin tones looked a bit red/pink

Matt,

Here is my quick edit attempt.

I did everything in Aperture except USM which I did in Photoshop.

I dropped the exposure 1/3 stop. Made a pretty significant adjustment to the contrast. A single bump in saturation and vibrancy and a slight levels adjustment to the white side in the luminance channel.

For the unsharp mask I set amount to 100, radius to 0.5 and threshold to 3.

Nothing spectacular as I am not an editing genius. I do agree with you that the yellow grass does not help. For me, it seems to throw off all other colors because my brain keeps saying that should be green.

Hope this was at least somewhat helpful. I am sure jealous you are already shooting outdoor sports where everyone is in short sleeves.

Thanks that was an incredible help. I feel most of the washed colors was due to over exposure on a cloudy day. I have adjusted my monitor some more and it is all looking better.

When its 105 degrees for 20 straight days this summer I will be jealous of you!

Are you for the red team or blue team? Picture number 2 clear shows a foul throw and you could protest! :)

Watch the stray feet (#3) on the edges....

#4 is great! I like the action of the player, but the cheering and smiles of the fans in the background really add to the photo...
