Mar 08, 2009 08:34 | #6 I much prefer #3, but I often crop too tightly. However, in this case, the less clutter, the better, IMHO. This is a great capture in very difficult conditions, well done. If it were mine, I would apply the blur tool to the background. Is this a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk? MIKEIVAN

Is this a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk? Yes, I believe so. I think he was must have been attracted by the other one that was being handled during a Raptor conservatory photo-shoot taking place on the ground. Mar 08, 2009 12:03 | #12 Yeah, #3. When photographing things in motion it's a general rule to leave more space in the frame in the direction the subject is heading. It projects better feeling of motion. Oh well, like I said it was an unexpected bonus and a purely "on the hip" type shot. Canon 1DX & 5D Classic | Manfrotto 3021 & 3249 Pods w/ 488RC2 | Speedlite 600EX-RT & 430EX
