Taken on a pier on Anna Maria Island, FL. Some other guy saw me with the 50D and 70-200 L taking this, then proceeded to carelessly walk closer with his P&S, scaring the bird away.

Eh, I got the shot anyway. Anything I could've done better? I like the water almost dripping off the end of his beak.

Great composition, great colours, great pose. In short: great shot.

I can't see anything you could have done differently here. It's well composed, focus and exposure are dead on.

As stated above, a well done shot. The one tiny thing I would wish if it was my shot, is that if the camera was a couple inches higher, the entire body would be framed by the water. Not a big deal, as this is great as is! I like how well the colors are defined.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....for a big goofy looking bird, they're beautiful and very unique. Nice shot!!
