Diane, Thank you, I told my friend about the sling and she is excited, as she will be using it at work.
Diane made me one....I LOVE it!!! It's so nice and unique. It saved my but lots when Ian was smaller. I'd put him in there and get on the exercise ball and bounce him to sleep!

Glad to hear Dora is getting better. What did you buy? John bought me a lemur statue that is made with Tagua Nut while he was at the Zoo today, having a POTN meet. John had Mike and Kim, who contacted John about his Zoo photography article and he met up with them today while I worked.
Awww......that's sweet!

Thanks Permie and Zane. I'm learning....although its seemingly slow sometimes. I wish sometimes that I could change the shooting conditions a little bit, but....learning to work with what you've got and create great images is part of the process.
Amen sister!

Paula: I didn't 'do' anything The friar (Cat, correct me if wrong here) was going to bless some items for Cat and Wade that they had purchased. I am sitting, minding my own business, really not paying attention.
I glance over, and the friar (?) is rummaging about behind the counter muttering '
where did that blessing go?' <more rummaging> 'don't we keep it in the second drawer?'
It was terribly innappropriate of me, but it really hit my funny bone and I COULD NOT stop laughing. The more I tried to contain myself, the worse it got
I would have laughed too.
WOW!!! Great series!

Forgive my lack of knowledge...but do you shoot officially for the horse races? I know you have horses. Do you train for jumping or racing? Sorry, my mom is into horses and natural horsemanship so I'm just curious.

I don't think it is possible. My recommendation? Don't ever try one out unless you are prepared to buy one.
Precisely why I have never attached an L to my camera or even touched one.

I was dealing with milk white skys today and dark overcast light in light drizzle. I can't get these shots to look right. Underexposed I get a little sky back so it is not glaring white but then the color is off.
They look great to me considering your conditions.

What's next? Toupees for infant boys?
There is a skit from saturday night live that advertised just that.

An experimental treatment to one of the photos taken the other day:
I like. But, I'd clone out the stick...Maybe not the whole thing but definitely the part growing out of her nose.
