PQ, thanks for posting up another beautiful scrapbook presentation. You haven't done much of that since starting college and I miss it.

Actually, I'm still doing it, I just haven't been posting it that much. You can see evidence here. (external link) :)

I forgot to say...after going to the dog park the other day, I discovered several things I REALLY appreciate about Kona. The first being that he rarely barks. My gosh...there was this little cairn terrier there who not only never stopped barking, but his bark was so piercing that it cut right through you. And I love it that he doesn't have a menacing look in his little body. Since we taught him "kisses" we've had very little trouble with the biting. He switches over almost immediately. The last 3 days have been way less trouble than his previous 5 months.

Awww, glad he's being better!

Yeah, it worked great. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it was flawless and produced some nice results. The only thing that didn't work for us (and it wasn't the kit's fault) was the cactus trigger we were using. I should have brought my pocket wizards. Those stupid things would fire 1 out of every 2-4 times. Very frustrating.

Why would anybody buy such a piece of garbage?

It's cool that you'll get to use it!

I think they look great! I'd not have known it was your first studio time.

Riiiight.... He's going to be as big as a house; Clifford style. HEE-UGE. More pack animal than a dog. MASSIVE. I'm talking LARGE. He's going to be able to play fetch with Rhode Island.

LOL, you're just mean. ;)

JWright wrote in post #7580405 (external link)
^^^That... Heather's parents ran into this problem when they were looking for a place to rent in Maine. Nobody would rent to them because they had a dog. Apparently landlords won't or can't rent to pit bull owners because of the liabilities involved, but Maine law prohibits them from excluding certain breeds so they just don't rent to anyone with a dog. Heather's parents have a Brittany Spaniel.

Honestly, it kinda pi$$es me off that pits get such a bad rap, because its very much the deed, rather than the breed most of the time. There ARE a few exceptions, as there is with any other breed, but all but one of the ones I've encountered have been so lurpy/lovey it was almost intolerable.

Kind of reminds me of a couple neighborhood kids who got this brilliant idea of tossing a bike chain into a power substation. Yeah 1DsMkII. You did good with the timing. I get better catches with a faster FPS than I do with the FF cameras I have.

Comes of growing up with thumb-advance frame rate and graduating to 2 fps. I think the T90 might have done all of 3 fps (I checked - 4.5 in H; which means a roll in 8 sec. - somehow I don't think I used that much). But I set custom speeds on the 1D3 to 5 and 2 instead of the default 10 and 3. I discovered I had it at the default (dunno when I set that) today. Thought it was too fast when I was down at Jump 15 (on the ladder) and shifted to Continuous L then. I can single shot just fine at a 2-3 fps rate and get a burst as needed. But I caught both Katherine and Jennifer (How is she? Wasn't it her that fell in the relay? And how about Rob?) at the same point on 14 with the 5D. So I'm feeling pretty good.

shoot, my 8 year old niece still sneaks hers! Her sister got her ears pierced for stopping and she SO wants to have hers done but can't give up that thumb!! I sucked my thumb till I was probably 8 or 9, but only at night going to bed.

Same here. After all I went through from my Dad trying to get me to stop. Some yucky tasting stuff he'd paint on it, etc. After he passed away, my mom let it slipped she sucked hers until she was 12. I tease her about letting Dad get away with trying to stop me when she went well beyond what I did.

TIF Brian did great with Johnathan. Fantastic watermark too.

LISA you handled the situation well, I'm glad you found an inner courage. We aren't suppose to have Bax of lead on the conservation district. You can see when we get off the beaten path we do let him go, however; we keep him under control and hitch him back up when we hear and/or see someone else. It is part of the code for being a responsible person and skin parent.
