Thanks!! This LO (layout) won "layout of the day" at one of my digi scrapping sites.... the funny thing is, the last two "layout of the day"s that I won there was with the same train track photo!! It was just edited differently every time! Thought that was kinda funny/weird. --ALyssa

The first being that he rarely barks. My gosh...there was this little cairn terrier there who not only never stopped barking, but his bark was so piercing that it cut right through you. And I love it that he doesn't have a menacing look in his little body. Since we taught him "kisses" we've had very little trouble with the biting. He switches over almost immediately. The last 3 days have been way less trouble than his previous 5 months.Glad to hear of the improvements from Kona. Gives you hope that there will be more in the future. cfpackerfan wrote in post #7581328 A candid shot that I liked: Nicw photos Cat. I love the one of Amikah playing ball. Well I asked my MIL who is 82 how she feels getting older she says its hard to adjust he mind to her body ..I told her I"m there at 52 Sorry you are having a tough time Deb. Take it one day at a time. Hope WC gets their head out of there you know what, and settle up. I am so sorry to hear that Ley had a mc. hugs to you and your kids. Permagrin wrote in post #7583186 today I took Kona for a walk...it was a nice path along the river and people are supposed to keep their dogs on a leash. I came around a corner and was suddenly accosted by two dogs. One doberman and one (at least half ridgeback). The pinned Kona btw. my legs...the doberman was in front of me barking and the ridgeback was behind me growling (ridge up). Their "owner" was further down the trail talking to a bicyclist. Completely ignoring her dogs menacing us. Finally I yelled "HEY are these your dogs. You need to contain them.." and she whistled...the doberman returned to her and SHE CONTINUED HER CONVERSATION completely ignoring the ridgeback. I was so mad. I forgot to be afraid. I was so angry I didn't say anything because I know I would have completely lost my temper. Finally I made myself as big as possible and moved toward the ridgeback saying "get away" and it retreated to her. I've decided to carry mace in future though. I had no idea what those dogs would do to me or Kona. And the owners behavior was absolutely unacceptable. She knew I was upset as I continued my walk past her (she was still talking to the cyclist). She just looked at me very rude like "yeah, my dogs could do the very thing you expected". It was the rudest animal/owner encounter I've ever had... I did learn though that I can be pushed past fear to absolute fury. sigh. thanks for listening. Sorry this had to happen to you. Not all owners are as stupid as that one. With knowing that Buddy has issues, we always keep an eye out for other dogs when walking, and will pull Buddy off to the side and make eye contact with the owner and let them know that Buddy has issues with other dogs. He is also never off leash because of said issues. DoodleBunz wrote in post #7583306 Hi gang, finally finished going thru the shots of the PA German Heritage Fest from Saturday...CLICKY Great shots Diane, I love the one of the groom's box and the sign explaining its history. thomascanty wrote in post #7583346 I went to the Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland state park There were almost no wildflowers at all in the park. I saw maybe four or five total, and none of them were poppies. There were plenty of Joshua Trees (not even those were blossoming yet) and juniper around, though. Plus other desert plants like sage, beavertail cactus, rabbitbrush, needle grass, etc. The only wildlife I saw were some small birds flitting about. On the way there I also drove by the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve SNR (State Natural Reserve) A few pictures: From the Desert Woodland SP: Lancaster Road, near the poppy reserve: One of the rare few poppies that was trying to open up in the gusty, chilly wind (from the 24-70 -- I didn't even bother taking the 100mm macro out of the bag): Nice rant Lonnie.
