BTW, Jim... this is what gave me the leg wobbles. Everyone seems to be casually sitting on the edge of the earth, where one false move will knock a loose a rock, sending the rest of the rocks sliding down the slope carrying everyone to a painful death, leaving the corpses a mangled pile of twisted meat in the valley below.

 Love your description of the immanent danger. :p

I actually did go wandering off to the left in the picture a ways. I does get even steeper to a point where you could not go. Even with my very short jaunt in that direction, Lisa was screaming at me to quit being stupid and get back right away. :p

Cassette player? Walkman?

So we picked up our dog yesterday evening :) We were expecting to just go down to the foster ladie's house and meet the dog but things went well and we ended up getting to take him home. He did really well last night. Whined a little bit when we went to bed but overall did really well. We're both really excited! :) He wiggles around and does circles when I come into the room. he's awesome.

Currently his name is Acksel, (Axle) but we'll be changing that soon. Hopefully the Mrs. emails me some photos from the laptop today and I can post them. :)

Aw, he gets the bendy wiggles! That is great, Kody! I like his name and am looking forward to pics!

That is a very apt description of what flashed before my own eyes

I think if my husband insisted on doing something like that, than I would insist on a very nice sized life insurance policy before going.:D I would rather have him of course... but if he is willing to risk life and limb I at least want some $$$ to buy more camera gear!

Sheesh fine! I'll just tell you now.:p
I was going to suggest the same thing. Stay at the Wallowa Lake campground (which is the one I have posted pics of before.) and then drive up the imnaha(sp?) You really don't want to pull a trailer on that road so would make a nice little day trip for you while you leave the trailer in the park. I think you would really enjoy it. That area is just gorgeous. Wallowa is my absolute fav place to go other than the ocean. :D If you decide to stay at the campground THIS (external link) is the link to the reservation place. And I can help you on the best space to "camp" in.

Thanks so much for that Paula. :D With hearing that from someone else I don't know, plus getting your vote on Wallowa, I think this is what we will do. I do believe they stayed at a State Park, so your link is likely the one, thanks for it. I would like to do a day of river rafting, the water should be getting quite high about then. Other then that, I will likely just explore a bunch.

YAY!!!!! That's so awesome Kody. :D I like his name. ;)
Is this the one that is destructive? Do you have to kennel him at night? DETAILS man, I want details!
Is his fur soft? Or is it terrier-ish? How old is he?

Heh. The life insurance company wouldn't be too thrilled about his upcoming mountaineering expedition ..

Thanks, I try to be a colorful as possible.. :D Yeah, can't imagine why she would have been screaming at you

Its a great place to explore. The little town right before you get to the park is called Joseph. And you HAVE to eat at a place called "The Stubborn Mule". You will love it!!! And you get tons of food. Sandwiches almost as big as the plate! (yes it's a regular size plate :p). Here's a few pics.

Oh and Jim, there are plenty of "cabins" like this^^^^^ to rent too if you would rather not use your trailer. The park does have pretty decent showers in the restroom building.

Microwaving clam chowder is always an adventure. I swear, I saw the container jump 3 inches off the turntable...
