Where is Wallowa Lake?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Microwaving clam chowder is always an adventure. I swear, I saw the container jump 3 inches off the turntable...

I always wondered why it does that. i nuke Nutrisystem meals and they too sometimes do that. It's pretty impressive sometimes.

Its a great place to explore. The little town right before you get to the park is called Joseph. And you HAVE to eat at a place called "The Stubborn Mule". You will love it!!! And you get tons of food. Sandwiches almost as big as the plate! (yes it's a regular size plate :p). Here's a few pics.

The Lake

Nice photo rant, I was there with my parents when I was around seven or eight. I remember it being a beautiful place.

It's just 3 miles out of Joseph, Oregon. Is that what you were wanting to know?

Nope. You changed from sRGB to Adobe RGB colour space.

Grats on the new dog, Kody!

Kody, looking forward to seeing the photos of your new dog. Is he the one you last showed us?

Yeah it's the same one. Like you mentioned before, his fur is still a little thin. It's the way he's been groomed. I think we both want him to have a bit softer fur/hair so we'll not be stripping him. He was being fostered so he wasn't taken care of as a pet. He will be now though. :)

YAY YAY!!!! I kinda like that name! :D

I have moments where I like it and moments where I don't. So far we haven't thought of anything better. lol

What kind of pup?

West Highland Terrier. This is my favorite flickr shot of a Westie that I have come across: http://www.flickr.com …/stevecollins/3244430525/ (external link)

Bendy WIGGLES! that's what it is, I couldn't think of what you girls called it on here. Yeah he gets that way, it's so great! hehehe

YAY!!!!! That's so awesome Kody. I like his name.
Is this the one that is destructive? Do you have to kennel him at night? DETAILS man, I want details!
Is his fur soft? Or is it terrier-ish? How old is he?

He is the one that was a little destructive. His upper jaw grew faster thant he lower jaw so he was in tons of pain and would gnaw on everything. His original owners were going broke paying for meds and such so they gave him up. Oddly enough they gave him up right about the time he was growing out of it. He's fine now. At one point you couldn't even pet his head he was in so much pain. The jaw growth issue is common to Westies and they grow out of it. He's currently 14-months and in another four he should be totally fine. Right now he seems fine but I think he's still got a little urge to chew. :) We are currently putting him in a kennel at night. Once he gets used to the house, used to us and we're sure he's not going to gnaw the legs off the furniture we'll let him have freedom in the house.
Currently his hair is somewhere between soft and corse. We'll work on getting it to move back towards soft though. :) I'd like him to be groomed to look like the Westie I linked to on flickr. He's so great, we both fell in love with him as soon as we got to meet him. Last night he sat on my lap while I played PS3, he's real content to just be with you or on you. This morning he was sitting on my wife's lap on the couch while she used the laptop. As soon as I get some photos I'll show them. I'm going to be in a meeting from 10-11 and then in training all afternoon so it might not happen today. :(

A couple from out last camping trip. It was pretty rough but we made due.

Thas not camping.
But it is a gorgeous place I would be willing to stay at. :D

Thanks, I try to be a colorful as possible.. Yeah, can't imagine why she would have been screaming at you

 :p
I think what put her over the edge, is when I went over to the edge, saw another level spot down about 5 feet, then faking falling over the edge and dropping down right outta view.

Campsite

And the friendly deer looking for treats!

Looks great, I have liked all the other Oregon State Parks I have stayed in, they are sooo much better then those RV Campgrounds that are little more then a parking lot. :D

Glad to see a little camp meat drop in, I may not need to stop at the restaurant you referred to. ;)

Oh and Jim, there are plenty of "cabins" like this^^^^^ to rent too if you would rather not use your trailer. The park does have pretty decent showers in the restroom building.

I will most definitely just use our trailer, but would take advantage of the showers. :D

Pathetic. We need a real solution.

It is rather pathetic especialy since GM once had a really nice usefull electric car better than this one, and they crushed it. :(

Great news on your pup Kody, glad he found a good home.

We had an awesome morning. A group of kids from the local middle school that we did our walk a thon with came over with breakfast for my guys then they all did a craft project together (MS kids helping my guys) and then did some of their 'work' with them before leaving around 10:45. It was fantastic all around, I hope they come back!
