and placed an order for it after researching a few specs, turns out it's got a solid server based RAID controller built into it.
For $270 it's pretty damn nice and puts the Drobo to shame with an adjustable fan controller, actual RAID configs (0 span, 0 stripe, 1, 3, 5, 10) and FW400, FW800, USB2.0 and eSATA configs. Will definitely be setting this up as a RAID10 backup solution for my photo archive
