Hi guys,

Was on vacation last week over in UK, and had a day at Slimbridge. Here are a few pics from the day, plus a link to the full gallery. I've got most names, but still missing a few. All pictures taken with Canon 5D plus 100-400mm in natural light.

C&C welcome. Am so glad the weather is getting better. First outing of the year now under my belt.

Can't help at all with the identifications, but that's a nice series!

Thanks guys

LordBrian, you should enjoy your trip, good day out. There was even reports from other photogs returning from the Kingfisher hide that the bird was around, not that I saw it.
Thanks for the link.

Chris

Nice set, Chris. I believe No. 3 is a Garganey, No. 4 is a Ferruginous Duck, No. 6 is a Tufted Duck. I'm afraid I'm not sure about the goose - he's very colourful :D

Thanks for those IDs. I thought 6 was a tufted, but the eye colour and the white at the bill threw me off. TVM

Chris

The eye colour is right. I think the white bit above the bill denotes a female :D

Now I've learned something new, thanks. I have a feeling the goose may be an Egyptian goose.
