It's nice to have lens lust change to lens love. I was thinking about getting the 24L and/or the 35L. Instead I got this and the Samyang/Rokinon 35. I am soooooo happy with my decision (and so is my bank account:))

Bought mine new. I looked at some on Ebay, but the selling price wasn't low enough to offset my fears that it would need adjustment. Maybe that is why so many sigmas are "off"--to scare away second hand buyers :)

yeah cdo, same as al: looked around and didn't find anyone selling used. those that i did find weren't good enough deals to take the risk.

i don't know whether that is because they just don't sell many, or if people tend to hold on to them.

I bought mine used... they are rather uncommon lenses, so don't be surprised if it takes months to find one on sale... alternatively, you could try ebay, should find atleast one.

And if the focus is off, you can get it calibrated, y'know.
Mine was spot on, and I bought it used.

I got mine new at Precision Camera in Austin, TX a few years ago. They had a couple in stock - probably still do

Took this picture farther away just to give you an idea of how much macro this lens is capable of.
