got mine back yesterday in the mail, good as new. i guarantee that repairing a broken lens mount/rear barrel on a 24l would be a hell of a lot more than $105.

Holy crap that was fast! That's like in Taiwan. I thought in the states stuff like that was always weeks...

I may re-edit this one, the exposures are different so it looks off.

Nice set, Devil, especially the first, which is great. That shadow really makes it.

Awesome pair, gilbert! I've never seen any of this HDR-ish "candy" look from you. I really like it. The shot of the Mrs. is wonderful, too. Some great mystery about it; can't quite put my finger on what is actually going on...

wOw, I'm new to this Sigma 24mm thread, amazing images here, stunning.

What's the Sigma 24mm f/1.8 EX DG-M lens like on a full-frame camera? I use a Canon 5D classic (Mk1).

Any advice welcome!

My understanding Sigma has announced a newer version, should be available some time this year.

mac, I think most or all of us are using it on FF. As you can see, we are all happy with it. However, it's not a very robust thread for such a long-established lens, so apparently not everyone is as thrilled...

Well I'm using it on FF and I really, REALLY like it.
An updated lens would be nice, but personally I just like this things bokeh too much to make the switch, provided I'm even using a DSLR by then(currently deciding between selling all my current gear and buying a Fuji X-Pro 1 + 35mm F1.4 or selling most of it while keeping the 5D and 24mm and 50mm and the CPL filter and buying the Fuji X100 - a remarkably difficult choice I have to say).

Just got this lens to use with my 5D. I've only shot a few test shots inside the house, but so far I'm very impressed with it. The MFD seems much, much closer than 7" or whatever it is, especially in manual focus and cranked all the way to macro.

I got this primarily for nighttime landscapes and astrophotography, hence the f/1.8, but I can tell this lens is going to be a lot of fun with the wide angle and macro combination; the depth of field is much thinner than I imagined it would be at MFD and f/1.8 for such a wide angle.

Also, no focus issues that I can tell so far. I haven't done any extensive testing, but close-range f/1.8 looks to be focusing where I tell it to, and so far appears to be pretty sharp.

The build quality is also very nice, solid, and smooth.
