Circle in my viewfinder?

That's exactly what my 5D2 has, it's only visible in certain lighting conditions (like maybe 1% of the time). I think its normal (well at least I hope it is)

This is visible 100% of the time in any lighting condition and its just not quite uniform enough to be deliberate with one side of it lighter then the other, my betting is its a greasy mark on the focusing screen picked up during the manufacturing process.

I would suggest this is the most likely candidate. I have an RF mirror less and a gray circle was in the middle of my viewfinder. Perfect circle. Didn't stop me from shooting but it was a distraction. The gray circle appeared when my camera was connected to my computer. I was on this tread when I saw the spot metering being mentioned. Gave it a try and the circle went away.
