Hello everyone. I have a rather odd question in regards to the EF 70-200 f2.8 (non IS) distance scale. I just purchased this lens and noticed that the distance scale window is not flush across and was just wondering if this is normal? Its flush on the AF-switch side of the lens, and popping up on the other side. Since I've never noticed this on any of my other lenses I wasn't sure if this is normal or not for this lens?

Here are two quick pics to show (I've never linked photos on here so hopefully my image host works).

The popping up side:

The normal side (flush).

I don't know if it is normal but I have the same lens as you and mine is just like yours. I cant think it is a problem. My lens is way good on the performance side of things. If it were me I would not worry about it a bit.

Ok thanks. I know it sounded a little silly but I was just checking it over since I just bought it and would rather clear up anything right away. Unfortunately the weather has been too crummy to go and really test it out. Thanks for the reply.
