Amazing considering yesterday it was 55 degrees F. and today its 10 degrees and snowing like hell.
Anyways. I found a new Scorpion Fly with a Barbed tail. and the smallest Globular Springtail I've ever photographed, roughly 2mm. both new to me. Comments greatly appreciated.

#2 is the winner for me because #2 is OOF....
But, just how small is #1? It looks almost too small for the eye!

Thanks skygood44. #1 is very very small. take the end of a paper clip(the very tip) and look at it heads on. this springtail would sit comfortably on the tip.

Wow! That's small!

What about your lighting set-up?

I've just passed a major exam and treated myself to a guitar (well, gotta take up an instrument before I get too old!), but my next photography purchase is likely going to be lighting....I'm thinking either 580EXII or MT-24EX macro lights.

Any thoughts...?

I have the 580ex,(on a bracket) its done very well with me. but, if I was to upgrade, it would be to the MT-24x macro lights.

Really......

Hmmm, that's got me thinking (again!)

Trouble is, I want both - which is impossible, as funds need to be held back at the moment for us (75% sure we'll be completing the start-up of a new business in August....)

Guess I'll have to wait a bit.
