Hey everyone,
I am in the process of working with some designers over at 99designs.com on a new logo for my sports photography business. The submissions have been very creative and I have a couple of favorites, but I would really like some feedback from all of you on which one you like and why before I make my final decision. Please check out this link:

Thanks in advance and all questions, comments, and feedback is welcome.

I like 26 and 47, but 46 is good too. They'd look great on a t-shirt :)

I would have to say that 47 is my favorite but I also really like 34.

I gathered from the choices that the image # was BELOW the actual image? Kind of a confusing layout for the work. First off, I'm not a fan of the cartoonish, child-like, 'clip-art' style of the images on most of the work. Are you an adult and holding yourself out to be a professional with something to offer? if so, the 'clip-art' style might have to go!

Images that worked for me: #46 was about the best overall concept and design. #21 had GREAT lettering that really provided "pop" to the company name.

Does anyone working on your logo know what a PRESS BOX is? I didn't see a press box incorporated in any design. Even when you work with professionals, they need a lot of direction because they can't be experts in every industry.

pantherphotos, thank you.

snyderman, I am primarily working in the youth and high school market so I wanted somewhat of an animated character. Also, very good point on the "press box" incorporation. Thank you.

In general, unless you are targeting a specific sport, I wouldn't feature that sport in the logo. For example, a few of these has the character kicking or following a soccer ball, twirling a basketball, etc. Unless they are special purpose, keep it general. A couple of the characters are clearly male dominant, and if this is your primary market, they will work well. Don't forget there is a huge market in non-traditional female event photography related to sports (cheer HUGE, gymnastics, equestrian, softball, soccer, etc). You might make your character less steroidal (51, 50, 36, 22) and more neutral (54, 19).

Nice work. Quite an investment you've made here.

SillyGuy...shaved, yes....buff, no. Thanks for the input.

bwolford...I was thinking the same thing about the more buff, steroid, A-Rod, looking characters. For female sports, I thought that the character in #46, #45, #44 etc. looks less male dominant and even fun for youth. It was my plan to use the designed character in other marketing collateral. Also, the sports balls-specific designs were just an example. I don't think I will placing any sort of sports balls in the logo. If I do, there will be a few of them stacked in some way. Thank you for checking it out and giving me your 2 cents.

Understand. Can't lose site that the youth and HS kids aren't the ones making the ultimate 'buying decision.'

Again, I liked a lot of the lettering and the name you chose. Just think the clipart stuff was a bit cheezy.

Lastly, keep it to FOUR colors for printing purposes! I had a logo made for my band and took the designer's advice. Haven't had one issue printing the logo on anything!
