To be fair, he did that last time :-)

Well good job. Good habit to get into.

I just finished playing around with my new Elinchrom setup, and am typing this half blind:
Ranger RX/AS w/ S head
53" Octa
Skyport Speed RX triggers
w/ 2nd head and beauty dish following as soon as I learn to use what I have.

Thank you ed. for your total disregard to my original $1000 lighting budget and everyone else who I harassed with all my modifier/trigger questions.

SCORE!!!! :) :)

I just got the Elinchrom modifier deal of the year!

Don't look at the title of the auction, look at the pictures of what it actually is. And then look at the price I just got it for!!!!

Woohoo!

I'm super stoked, a 57x57" EL Quadra indirect light bank for $310! They go for over $1k new at B&H.

Can't wait to try it out, I'm sure I've underestimated how big it actually is. :)

I reckon we both paid about 1/3 of local retail. Awesome!

Yes, you have :-)

Have you used yours without the front diffuser? I know the big EL Octa gets used like that a lot but wasn't sure about the EL Quadra. The other thing I was wondering is if you found it necessary to to the Avenger grip head modification.

I haven't had much of a chance to use it so far, but the times I have used it has been with the diffuser. I'm looking forward to using it without.

I haven't had any problems with the original mount.
