Hey there everyone,
I'm trying to find a reputable place that does clear business cards. Everywhere I seem to find looks very sketchy lol.

I'm looking to get something along the lines of this:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Also if anyone has experience with cards like this please share.

Thanks in advance,
Bob

Honestly, my only experience was picking one up for another business and thinking how much I didn't like it. Not that I'm trying to talk you out of it. They're your cards, but I'm just conveying my initial thoughts upon picking this kind of card up when I was looking for a service. Good luck.

I would think the type of business would make a difference. I saw one where a local towing company had clear red cards. They were ok, but I suppose for them it worked because you wanted people to find your card in an emergency. "Who do I call? Oh wait, who was that guy with the see-thru red card?"

With a photography business urgency is less important and serious image is more important.

Anyway, most local printers claim they can do virtually any kind of stock, don't they?

Hey Bob, Just a thought, I have seen some really cool clear plastic cards. Cadillac Plastics in the US has them. You could look them up and shoot them an e-mail
as I am sure they would share where they get them. Option B would be to call the
number on the cards you posted and see where that gets you.

Best thing to do is send out sample requests, you'll find that for every 10 sample packs you get there will be 1-2 that are superior in quality.

I've seen quite a few clear cards like that at trade shows (I'm a sales and marketing guy), and they look great. The only drawback is that if a potential client wants to make a quick note on the back on the card, they are impossible to write on.

I'd carry a fine point Sharpie with you, if you are going to be handing out cards like that - then you can loan the pen.

That's a good idea, ken
A fine point sharpie will write on the back of one of those without smearing away?

Yep, has to be a real Sharpie though :)

Checkout these "pop-up" business cards - nifty:

The clear cards look pretty cool to me, as long as they are not to thick. I put business cards in a case and they need to fit. The pop up ones look great on a desk but I would toss it since they do not fit in my business card case with out taking all the other cards out.

Thanks for the feedback. What was it exactly that you didn't like about it?

I don't know, but I'll look into it

I would love to do something towards that, but I'm awful at creating stuff like that, but I do love the idea!

Ha, some good ideas there. How many people do you think have done the second?

That is also a great idea, I sent some emails out and they were open to that, so I'll deff give that a whirl.

Awesome, thanks for the links.

That's a very good point. I'll take that into consideration.

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself, but it seems that you can choose the thickness with some people.

From the research I've been doing it looks like i wont be able to afford them
They seem to run $1.50/ $2.00 a card, which is way to steep for me lol.
Hopefully I've just been looking at expensive places lol.

Thanks
Bob
