17-55 f2.8 IS and 70-200 f2.8 L IS make a great combo on the 40D.

 OOPS, good catch, I like to proof read my stuff but I def. missed that one. My lens budget is 2600.00 Sorry about that. If you look at any of my other threads, I have 2600.00 for an up coming project and general interest. I decided to use the money for a 70-200L 2.8 IS and a 17-55 2.8 IS. those two seemed to be the right fit for the money and what I need them for.
So in short I have typed 2600 a few times lately lol

Well fiddle faddle, i was so looking forward to coming home from a stressful day at work (worst day I have had in a long time) only find that B&H did NOT have my lens here today.

So after My blood pressure sky rocketed, I came stomping through the house ready to tear in to some poor, unsuspecting, customer rep. @ B&H, and then it dawned on me, I better check that everything was OK on my end. Sure enough there was no money withdrawn from my Paypal account. At this point I am nervous that maybe the lens, the sweet holy grail of zoom lenses (just saying that to add effect of how let down I was), might be out of stock or just something more simple like I typed in my address wrong lol.
Come to find out I never hit the dang-gum CONFIRM ORDER button that I did NOT see on the last step. I thought the order went through. I just made my screen shot and went to bed.
Long story short, my lens will be here Fri. YEY FOR ME :)
I think my other two lenses will be as follows, 17-55 2.8 then the 85L once I get the funds.

The 7-2 2.8 IS was the first lens I ordered too. Probably a mistake, as it's going to be hard to beat. But, I just ordered a 17-55 f/2.8 a couple days ago. So I'll have the same set up you're looking to have.

The 17-55 f/2.8 is a replacement for a Tamron 17-50 which I never really could trust.

This is my all time fav. It is the first lens I pull out when I can use it, tack sharp and wonderful resolution. As has been stated just use it and you will get feel for it.

My favorite lens by far. I've never used the other 70-200's but the 2.8 IS version rocks!
